She is a passionate and industrious creative artist, who is celebrating 26 years in the fashion industry.

Her determined spirit pushes her to drive creative industry enterprise forward and she has become an exemplar and mentor to young creatives, not only in Guyana but throughout the Caribbean Region. She has been presented with many awards locally, regionally and even internationally, for her dedication to entrepreneurship, her commitment to philanthropy and her engagement as a cultural ambassador, advancing creative ventures, promoting competitive-worthy fashion design and emboldening youth empowerment initiatives.

Over the years, she has positioned her brand to be among the most sought-after trendsetting labels in the region. Her fashions have been featured in numerous publications in the Caribbean and around the world. Her travels for fashion have taken her to exotic locations on many continents. The Government of India invited her to the prominent fair in Madhya, Pradesh, India where she networked with industry leaders in fashion forward textile design and served to transform her fashion sensibilities. Her participation in the largest International Fashion Fair in the world in Ningbo China, where she led a small delegation of Guyanese designers, the first Caribbean contingent ever, was another significant milestone.Ms. Noel was the first Caribbean designer invited to speak at Brown University and Capitol Hill Washington DC for Caribbean Heritage Month. And recently her sojourn on the African continent, visiting Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa seemed to have reawakened her fashion appetite, spawning a whole new direction to her design aesthetic. These globe-trotting forays have certainly diversified her appreciation and interpretation of fashion and has led to her eclectic international brand acumen. Within the region, in the past year, she was a special guest at the resurgence of a fashion week in Trinidad where she also participated in a major fashion showcase as part of the largest Pan-African festival outside of the continent of Africa.While on the continent she was a speaker at the African Woman in Trade Gala Dinner ( Capetown) Collaboration Across Borders (Johannesburg) Youth Business Forum(Relm of Glory Church Abuja) Afrinet Women's Group (Lagos). She was recently a speaker at BRICS FASHION SUMMIT in Moscow.

She is the founder of many socio-cultural industry staples in Guyana - Guyana Fashion Week ,Sonia Noel Foundation, Women in Business Expo,Women Association for Sustainable Development ,Inspire You - motivational workshops for personal and professional self-development. All these non-governmental organisations seek to foster social transformation and creative sector development.

Sonia Noel went on to publish 10 books and is now one of the facilitators in the Virtual Writers' Retreat. She has developed a number of empowering self development programmes that added value to many lives over the years.

A corollary of Ms Noel ongoing work, is her 'Love Revolution' campaign through schools, primarily, as well as through community groups. The vision of this uplifting crusade is to instill the concept of love to engender better-living mandates. Her most recent philanthropic mission is called "Bread Basket "which distributes free bread to the underprivileged and meals to the homeless.

Sonia Noel is a mother of two beautiful daughters Marisca and Shonta and two adorable grandchildren.
